Network Inventory Advisor 3.9

Network Inventory Advisor Editor's Review

PC Inventory Advisor is a handy network tool designed to help you get an accurate glimpse of what is installed on your networked computers. You can use it for scanning and monitoring purposes in oder to keep track of all your computers in your network.

This program is best to be used when auditing your network. You can remotely check each computer and see its hardware inventory, its software inventory as well as other valuable information: shared resources, running processes, system services and user accounts.
Before starting to use this program, you should make sure that you have set up an admin account using the same login and password on all the remote computers, otherwise you won't be able to connect to any of them.

After you have scanned your network, you can generate accurate reports containing data related to a single computer, several computers or the entire network. Reports can be saved for further comparison or they can be exported. You can create custom reports, for example customer reports or out-of-the-box reports. The reports' layout can be customized as well in case you need to make a presentation.

When printing reports, you can add custom information to those reports: you can add a company logo, an admin name, a print header and footer.

Pluses: The good thing is the fact that you can install this program on any computer, it doesn't necessarily have to be a server. There are wizards included for scanning your computers and for generating custom reports.

Drawbacks / flaws:

In conclusion: I found this program to be a very useful network inventory tool. It can help you keep you computers upgraded and running without errors.
